Dominic Sullivan has over twenty-years of experience in the automobile industry, starting in sales before moving into management then dealer ownership. With these successes, Dominic is turning a new corner.
Like so many of us who have been victimized by the economic crisis, Dominic has seen and felt the affects of these financial nightmares. Realizing many of us are unable to even secure financing for vehicles from traditional financial institutions’ lending cutbacks, he reached for a solution. “I was able to put together a group of private investors who were willing take a chance on good people caught up in these tough times,” he says. “We understood the type of economy we are in and we are responding to it.”
In addition to providing people with financing, selling cars on consignment is a major addition to this new enterprise. “We are able to get 10 to 20 percent more for most cars, and by dealing directly with our local credit union, we can often get the buyer a better rate, sometimes under 3%.”
Dominic recalls a gentleman who took his car to a dealer for a trade and was offered $6,000 for his Toyota, in excellent condition and with only 15,000 miles. This customer went home, went online, and bought the same car from the same dealer for less without his trade. “That’s when he called us. We took his car on consignment and sold it in a week for $9,500. Everyone came out a winner on that deal,” he proudly states.

Working from two small lots, Dominic sees himself as a true automobile consultant who is dedicated to getting good people better deals on great cars. He goes on to say, “That’s why we have our Rent to Own program with our in-house financing. We are able to put these individuals into cars that most other dealers simply aren’t able to. We really are here to help these people out.” He further states that every car on their lots, including consignments, are listed on AutoTrader.com. “We don’t charge extra for that service, and it gives each customer the best possible opportunity to sell their car.”
The new operation and the ability to put people into the car they want is his main focus. “We have the flexibility to put more money into certain cars and make deals that bigger lots with massive overhead generally can’t do,” Dominic explains. “Because these dealers don’t have that ability, it works to our advantage as well as the customer’s. Everyone is looking to survive the economic challenges, and we want to help as many people as we can. Every person needs reliable transportation and we hope to offer this to each person who looks to us for their best deal.”
With Dominic’s experience and dedication to his community, his new concepts could be the shining light for so many trying to stay above water or move forward when rough waves have hit.
